Over-50s Fashion Show Challenges Ageism in Tottenham

 

Older residents in Haringey took centre stage at a vibrant fashion show in Tottenham Green as part of this year’s Age Without Limits Day celebrations.

The “Big Swish and Swagger Fashion Show”, held on 16 June, showcased unique garments created by participants during weekly recycled fashion workshops run by Haringey Reach and Connect. The workshops, hosted at The Old Nursery in Tottenham Green and led by fashion designer Donald Waugh of Pavement2Catwalk, encouraged residents to transform donated and recycled materials into original catwalk creations.
