Safe Haven Crisis Café – Peer Support Worker

Responsible to:  Safe Haven Senior Shift Lead 

Based at: Mind in Haringey, Canning Crescent, Remote

Salary: £23,500 pro-rata

Hours: 16 hours per week, evenings and weekends

The Safe Haven Crisis Café is an out of hours community crisis service, the Café provides a
safe space for individuals who may feel that they are at risk of a mental health crisis. The
Safe Haven provides short-term support and social prescribing to individuals who are
vulnerable and isolated into relevant support service pathways.

This service is primarily for adults aged 18 and over, who are residents of in the London
Borough of Haringey and/or has a Haringey GP. As this is an out of hours service, the
service operates between the hours of 5-10pm, 7 days a week, inclusive of public holidays.
This is service is delivered both online and face to face.

This is an exciting opportunity the join our expanding finance team as we continue to grow as an organisation. Ensuring the financial stability of the organisation is vital for us as we have seen the demand for our services increase consistently.

This new post will be part of a small team working to deliver effective financial management support to the organisation. The post-holder will be responsible for carrying out a number of day-to-day operational tasks, provide support in preparing management reports and accounts, and expected to actively contribute to the implementation of MIND’s financial guidelines. 

The post-holder will be required to deputise for the finance manager in the latter’s absence.

Caretaker

Responsible to: Administrative Officer 

Based at: Mind in Haringey

Salary: £15 per hour

Hours: Evenings and weekends – varies weekly

Mind in Haringey is seeking a caretaker to manage its premises during the hire of the community hall and other rooms during weekends. The successful candidate will be expected to open and close the building for private and professional hirers, assist in setting up rooms and ensure hirers leave the building in fit condition. 
 
Our clients range from families booking space for children’s birthday parties, to professionals conducting meetings or delivering training sessions.   
 
This would be an ideal role for someone who lives locally to Mind in Haringey and is looking to supplement their income with occasional weekend work. The caretaker would be expected to be available during hire periods in case of an emergency or urgent request by the hirer.  
 
It is the responsibility of the caretaker to ensure that the premises is left clean, safe and closed securely after weekend use, and that any damage is promptly reported to the Admin Manager.

Head of Service Development

Responsible to: CEO

Based at: Mind in Haringey 

Salary: £45,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

As Head of Services development, you will lead on the sustainability, growth and operational development of all aspects of the community mental health work streams such as the Haringey wellbeing network, Safe Haven, SMI health checks and other services.  

You will work closely with the CEO in scoping out the strategic direction in line with the overall organisational strategy and that of both local and national policy.  

Mental health and wellbeing have never been so much on the radar for social change and transformation. 

This exciting role is a key senior member of our organisation and will be instrumental in bringing about transformation for positive mental health to the community of Haringey.
