Covid-19 update: MHFA courses will be back up and running at Mind in Haringey from Monday 20th July. We will comply with social distancing in line with government guidelines.
Mind in Haringey is dedicated to education around mental health and delivers a range of training courses and workshops to frontline workers in Haringey and organisations across the capital. Online resources such as webinars and bite-sized workshops are also available to purchase and complete remotely.
We are certified trainers of Mental Health First Aid Training (MFHA) and provide full access for all front line staff who live, work, or volunteer in Haringey. Please note that courses are extremely popular and often fill up far in advance.
What is it?
Our keystone offering is the MHFA Adult Two Day Course which takes place once per month at Mind in Haringey for up to 16 people, per course. It is particularly relevant for those who work in the public sector, such as GP surgery staff and police and fire officers, but is useful to anyone who would like to qualify as a Mental Health First Aider.
If you would like to book a larger group from your organisation onto the MHFA Adult Two Day Course, please visit our Wellpeople page for information.
The course focuses on equipping individuals with the ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond in a supportive and appropriate manner. In addition to aiding you with an in-depth understanding of mental health and wellbeing, it offers practical skills that will give you the confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.
