Mind in Haringey is not a crisis service and we cannot help people who may be in serious mental health distress. Please use the following services if you or someone you know may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
999
If someone is at serious risk of death or injury call 999 and ask for police, fire or ambulance.
Safe Haven Crisis Hub
Individuals can call the Safe Haven service on 0800 953 0223. This is a mental health crisis support line, open daily 7 days a week, Mon-Fri 5pm-10pm | Sat-Sun 12pm-5pm. Professionals can refer into service – by completing the referral form & submitting it to: safehaven@mih.org.uk

Most surgeries have an out-of-hours phone number, and you should be able to book an emergency appointment.

Mental Health Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team
Can be called 24 hours a day to arrange a visit and assessment, or admission to the hospital if necessary.

Maytree
If you are suicidal, Maytree (0207 263 7070) can offer three days of respite care in a safe place. They are based in Finsbury Park. You can only use this service once.
NHS 111
You can call NHS 111 if you or someone you know requires urgent care, but it is not life-threatening – for example, if you have an existing mental health problem and your symptoms get worse, if you experience a mental health problem for the first time, or if someone is talking about wanting to self-harm.
The Samaritans
If you are need to talk to someone, you can call Samaritans’ free, confidential, and anonymous helpline at 116 123 anytime, day or night.
National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK
National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK (0800 689 5652) offers a supportive listening service to anyone throughout the UK with thoughts of suicide or thoughts of self-harm. Open 24/7, anybody is welcome to call if you need to talk.
Haringey Adult Social Services
If a vulnerable adult is at risk of abuse or exploitation, call the Safeguarding Team on 0208 489 1400.
