Empowering grassroots organisations to deliver inclusive, sustainable wellbeing support across Haringey
Our Community Capacity Building service strengthens the ability of grassroots organisations in Haringey to design, deliver, and sustain high-quality mental wellbeing activities for local residents. We work alongside community groups to build confidence, skills, and organisational resilience so they can play a leading role in improving mental health outcomes across the borough.
What the service offers
We provide tailored, hands-on support that helps local organisations grow, thrive, and deliver impactful wellbeing initiatives. This includes:
- Capacity building and organisational development – strengthening governance, administrative systems, sustainability planning, and core processes so groups feel confident and equipped for long-term delivery.
- Training, workshops, and skill-building – developing partners’ knowledge of mental health, inclusive practice, psychologically informed approaches, and effective wellbeing programme design.
- Funding and bid-writing support – helping organisations identify opportunities, prepare strong applications, and secure resources to expand or sustain their work.
- Programme development and project planning – supporting groups to design wellbeing activities that are culturally appropriate, community-led, and responsive to local needs.
- Networking and partnership building – facilitating collaboration between grassroots organisations, statutory services, neighbourhood mental health networks, and wider stakeholders.
Our approach is
- Strengths based – recognising and building on what organisations already do well.
- Trauma informed and psychologically informed – promoting safe, compassionate, and accessible wellbeing support.
- Collaborative – connecting organisations into a wider network of shared learning and mutual support.
- Sustainable – helping groups secure funding, strengthen governance, and plan for long term impact.
