What is an advocate and how does it work?
An advocate is someone who will help you to try and get
what you want. It helps you to try and voice your needs
and to make informed choices about yoursituation.
The decision making always rests with you and and any
information you receive is completely confidential.
Is the advocacy service independent?
The Advocacy Project is independent of health, social services
and other organisations in order to offer practical assistance.
How often is the help of an advocate available?
The help offered is time limited to 3 months. You will be
offered an assessment meeting to discuss your needs. Then an action
plan is then agreed between yourself and the Advocate.
When is the advocacy service available from?
The Project's are open between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
