An audience with Afua Hirsch

We are holding a fund raising Gala Event with drinks, a finger buffet and entertainment at Highgate Golf Club from 1pm – 4pm on the 8th of February 2019 and we would like to invite you to join us. The brilliant Afua Hirsch, well known broadcaster, author, barrister and regular contributor to The Guardian will be our star guest for teh evening. Her book Brit(ish) on mixed race experience in the UK is simply brilliant and she has just been appointed a judge for the Man Booker Prize next year and will also take up a visiting professorship at the University of Southern California. Afua will be joined by James Orr, an up and coming singer songwriter, and by a Scottish sisters singing group.

These events are critical to the survival of Mind in Haringey, as we receive no statutory funding from Haringey Council. Among the highlights of our activities we run the Haringey Well Being Network, the Haringey Suicide Prevention Strategy and a major programme of youth work in Tottenham, as well as offering counselling and support to all with mental health issues in Haringey.

We are recommending a suggested donation of 100 although we would of course welcome whatever you feel able to give. Please use the following link to make your donation and we look forward to seeing you on 8th February.
