Mental Health First Aid Training

We are currently delivering CPD certified, Mental Health First Aid training (MHFA), which is fully funded for front line staff who live, work, or volunteer in the London Borough of Haringey. The training is also available for individuals who do not fall under this criteria, at a cost of 150 per person. 

The Adult Two Day MHFA course teaches participants how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond appropriately. This is particularly relevant for those that work with the public, such as GP surgery staff and police and fire officers, but is useful to anyone.

This programme is part of the Haringey Wellbeing Network, made possible thanks to funding from the Haringey CCG.

The two-day standard course takes place once per month at Mind in Haringey. Up to 16 places are available on each course.

Training for your organisation

We can also deliver the two day course directly to your staff, either in your building or at Mind in Haringey. This is open to all organisations throughout the UK, and will cost 2800 for up to 16 people. Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements and our availability.

FAQs

How much does it cost?

If you are a front line worker in Haringey, you can attend the monthly courses at Mind in Haringey for free. If you live and work outside the borough you are welcome to attend but will be charged 150.

Anyone who fails to attend or gives less than 48 hours notice of cancellation will be charged 50 for cost of materials, regardless of whether they would have been eligible to attend the course for free or not.

Do you offer concessions?

Our monthly courses are fully funded for those who meet the eligibility criteria set by our funders, and so we cannot offer any concessions for these courses to individuals who do not meet the criteria.

If you are a not for profit organisation and would like us to deliver the training to your team, we are happy to discuss a concessionary rate.

Can I just turn up on the day?

No. All MHFA courses are strictly limited to a maximum of 16 attendees. It's important for us to know how many people will be attending each course, so please contact us to find out if there is space on the course you'd like to attend.

I can't come anymore, should I let you know?

Yes please! This course is extremely popular and we can offer your place to somebody on the waiting list if you no longer need it. If you can't make it you are welcome to offer your place to a colleague, just please let us know.
