Haringey Citizen's Advice Bureau at Mind in Haringey

We are one of the CAB's outreach sites in Haringey. We offer appointments to see an advisor on Mondays between 2pm and 5pm.

There are no drop-in appointments for this service - if you do not have an appointment, you will not be seen.  Please note that if you cancel your appointment you will have to wait at least another 3-4 weeks for a new one.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes. The CAB only offer a maximum of 4 appointments per week at Mind in Haringey. The waiting list is normally 4 weeks. If you contact us to book an appointment, we will call you when one becomes available.

Can I register with Mind in Haringey when I come in for my appointment?

Only if you have let us know in advance that you would like to do this and we have arranged for a member of staff to meet with you before/after your appointment with the CAB.

The CAB are an independent service and the advisors are not Mind in Haringey staff. We cannot guarantee that any Mind in Haringey staff will be available to talk to you when you come in to see the CAB here.

I've had a letter I need to show the CAB, can I bring it to Mind in Haringey?

No. Any information for the CAB can only be taken by their staff and volunteers, not by Mind in Haringey. You cannot drop documents into Mind in Haringey unless it is during CAB appointment hours (Mondays 2pm to 5pm) and you have let us know ahead of time that you will be doing this.

I have a mental health diagnosis. Do I have to come to Mind in Haringey to see the CAB?

No. The CAB appointments at Mind in Haringey are a part of the Haringey CAB's general service. The advisors do not have any additional mental health training or expertise than any other CAB advisors, and you will not be seen by Mind in Haringey staff unless this has been specifically arranged.

The Citizen's Advice Bureau are the primary service offering advice and information in Haringey. They are trained to help with issues around benefits, housing, family and relationships, money and debt, healthcare, legal rights and more. If you have been referred to them, you can seek help at any of their outreach centres (see the PDF above for a full list).

You are welcome to ask to be seen at Mind in Haringey if this is what you prefer, but please be aware that there may be a waiting list and if your problem is urgent or has a deadline, you may be able to get an appointment sooner somewhere else.
