Our bereavement counselling service provides a safe and confidential place for you to explore and understand your feelings around loss. Mind in Haringey is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and all our counsellors adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
We offer bereavement counselling appointments during daytime hours (9am-5pm) and in the evening (6pm-9pm) at affordable rates.
Our affordable evening and daytime counselling service is available to residents from all boroughs. You can be referred by an agent such as a local GP or other NHS, statutory or voluntary service or you can refer yourself as a self referral. Many people are concerned about the cost involved in counselling. We offer a low-cost daytime service for people on a very limited income as well as an affordable evening and weekend service.
Low-cost counselling operates on a sliding scale basis and the amount that you will need to contribute ranges from £5 - £35 depending on your annual income (inclusive of benefits). Evening sessions cost £35 per session.
Please note that fees are also payable for assessments.
For an idea of how much you would be charged per session, please download our Sliding Scale of Contributions below.
